There's something truly special about women in small business. Those who dare to dream, roll up their sleeves and make magic happen. For me, one woman has consistently embodied that spirit: the ever-inspiring Kristy, founder and director of Minnie and Me Interiors.
Where It All Began
Over the past eight years, Kristy has been a constant inspiration in my journey — both professionally and personally. What began as mutual respect for each other's creativity, work ethic and vision naturally grew into a lovely connection built on shared values and a deep appreciation for the design world.
I still remember discovering Minnie and Me when I had my daughter eight years ago. I was instantly drawn to the stunning designs, the heart behind the brand and the way it transformed children's spaces into something magical. It was a true source of inspiration for me as I stepped into motherhood and eventually began my own creative journey.
To now be trusted with the very brand that sparked so much of my passion feels completely surreal. It is the greatest privilege to carry Minnie and Me Interiors into its next chapter and honour everything it represents.
A Bond Built on Shared Roots
What makes our story even more unique is the deep-rooted connection we share — one that goes beyond business. Both of our journeys were shaped by family. We grew up with dads who were old-school signwriters. They were masters of their craft and our greatest teachers. They passed on more than just skill. They instilled values we still carry today: integrity, attention to detail, and a relentless commitment to doing things the right way.
Behind the scenes, our incredible mums were the quiet powerhouses. They held it all together, juggled a million things, and made sure everything ran smoothly. As small business owners, we both know just how crucial our families have been — always stepping in during those wild, chaotic weeks to help keep the wheels turning.
These shared experiences created the foundation of not just our businesses, but our bond. Though our creative paths were different, our roots were the same. Family, tradition, and an unshakable work ethic.

Today, as I take a moment to reflect, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude, buzzing with excitement, and deeply aware of the responsibility I now carry.
I'm honoured to share that Minnie and Me Interiors — a brand so many of you have come to love and trust — has entrusted me with its next chapter. Kristy has passed the baton, and I'm beyond humbled to continue the legacy she so lovingly built.
To say this is a dream come true would be an understatement. I know how much heart has gone into this business, and my promise to you is this: I will honour its history, preserve its soul, and continue to nurture the community that's grown around it.
This isn't just a business transition. It's a celebration of everything small business stands for. Hard work, resilience, family and friendship.
