Safety Policy – Neons, Acrylic Décor & Night Lights

At L A Interiors, your family’s safety is our top priority. Our LED neon signs, night lights, and acrylic décor are designed with both beauty and safety in mind. Please read the following safety guidelines carefully before installing or using any of our products.

1. General Safety Warnings

  • These items are not toys. They must be installed and operated by an adult.

  • Ensure all power cords, cables, and plug connections are kept out of reach of children.

  • Do not install products near water, excess moisture, or in wet areas (e.g. near humidifiers or in bathrooms).

  • Avoid placing products in areas prone to high heat or direct sunlight for extended periods.

2. Battery & Electrical Safety

  • Our night lights and neon remotes may require batteries.
    ⚠️ Due to safety regulations, we do not supply button batteries.
    Please purchase a CR2016 button battery for neon remotes as needed.

  • Ensure batteries and power cords are never accessible to young children.

  • For night lights: Use only AAA batteries or a certified USB power adapter (power source not included).
    Always check that your power source meets Australian safety standards.

3. Installation Safety

  • Products must be installed by an adult following all care and mounting instructions provided.

  • Use two hands to support acrylic products during installation.

  • Do not pull or place pressure on cords, wires, or hanging hardware.

  • For wall-mounted items, we recommend 3M Command Velcro strips or appropriate wall hardware—always follow weight and surface guidelines.

4. Placement Guidelines

  • Do not place any product within reach of young children or near a child’s sleep space.

  • Small parts, especially from acrylic or light-up products, may pose a choking hazard if detached.

  • Keep cords and remote controls away from cots, bassinets, or toddler beds.

5. Ongoing Maintenance & Handling

  • Products should be inspected regularly by an adult to ensure they are securely installed and functioning correctly.

  • If a product appears loose, damaged, or is no longer adhering properly, remove it immediately.

  • Breakages: Acrylic and night light inserts are fragile. Always handle with care to prevent chipping or snapping, especially thin lettering or shapes.

  • Improper installation or misuse

  • Ignoring safety guidelines

  • Products placed in unsafe locations (e.g. near children’s sleep areas)

  • Inadequate maintenance or supervision

  • Use of unsafe power sources or batteries
