Safety Policy – Neons, Acrylic Décor + Night Lights

At L A Interiors, your family’s safety is our top priority. Our LED neon signs, night lights and acrylic décor are designed with both beauty and safety in mind. Please read the following safety guidelines carefully before installing or using any of our products.

1. General Safety Warnings

These items are not toys and must always be installed and operated by an adult.

Ensure all power cords, cables and plug connections are kept out of reach of children.

Do not install products near water, excess moisture or wet areas (e.g. near humidifiers or in bathrooms).

Avoid placing products in areas exposed to high heat or prolonged direct sunlight.

2. Battery & Electrical Safety

Our night lights and neon remotes may require batteries.
⚠️ Due to safety regulations, batteries are not supplied.

Ensure batteries and power cords are never accessible to young children.

For night lights, use only AAA batteries or a certified USB power adapter (power source not included).

Always ensure your power source meets Australian safety standards.

3. Installation Safety

All products must be installed by an adult following the care and mounting instructions provided.

Use two hands to support acrylic products during installation.

Do not pull, bend or place pressure on cords, wires or hanging hardware.

For wall-mounted items, we recommend using 3M Command™ Velcro Strips or appropriate wall hardware. Always follow weight and surface guidelines.

4. Placement Guidelines

Do not place products within reach of young children or directly near a child’s sleep space.

Small parts from acrylic or light-up products may pose a choking hazard if detached.

Keep cords and remote controls away from cots, bassinets and toddler beds.

5. Ongoing Maintenance & Handling

Products should be inspected regularly by an adult to ensure they remain securely installed and functioning correctly.

If a product appears loose, damaged or is no longer adhering properly, remove it immediately.

Breakages

Acrylic products and night light inserts are fragile and should always be handled with care to prevent chipping or snapping, especially delicate lettering or thin shapes.

L A Interiors cannot be held liable for any injury, damage or malfunction resulting from:

  • Improper installation or misuse
  • Failure to follow safety guidelines
  • Products placed in unsafe locations (including near children’s sleep areas)
  • Inadequate maintenance or supervision
  • Use of unsafe or incompatible power sources or batteries
