We want your new décor to look amazing and stay safe. Please take the time to carefully read this guide before handling, installing, or using your neon signs, acrylic décor, or night lights. This guide contains essential information to ensure proper installation, safe operation, and product longevity.

Incorrect handling or installation may result in damage or pose a safety risk.

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Power & Battery Use

  • Use only AAA batteries or a certified USB power adapter (for night lights)

  • Only use the power cable provided with your neon or night light. Do not substitute with generic or unverified cables

  • Keep all cords, batteries, button batteries, and small parts out of reach of children

  • Never mix old and new batteries or different battery types

  • Remove batteries from night lights if not in use for extended periods to avoid leakage

Button Battery Warning – Neon Remotes

Due to safety regulations, we are unable to supply button batteries with your neon remote control. You will need to purchase a CR 2016 button battery separately if your neon includes a remote.

Button batteries are extremely dangerous if swallowed. Keep batteries out of reach of children at all times. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.

Not a Toy

  • These products are strictly for decorative purposes only

  • Neon signs, acrylic decor, and night lights must be installed and operated by an adult

  • Do not install above or within reach of a sleep space, including cots, bassinets, or beds

  • Keep cords tidy and secured to avoid trip hazards or entanglement

  • Avoid placing items near heat sources, vapourisers, humidifiers, or in high humidity areas

  • Never modify electrical components

Installation Guidelines

Neon Signs

Your neon arrives ready to hang with pre-drilled holes and wall mounts provided for safe and secure installation.

We recommend using the mounts supplied, as they are designed specifically for your neon's weight and structure.

⚠️ Do not hang your neon using adhesive strips, Blu Tack, or temporary hooks—this is unsafe and may result in damage or injury.

💡 Step-by-Step Neon Installation

  1. Decide where you'd like to display your neon (avoid areas exposed to excess heat, moisture, or direct sunlight)

  2. Mark your wall using the pre-drilled holes as a guide

  3. Securely install the wall mounts provided—ensure they are level and firmly anchored

  4. Gently hang your neon onto the mounts—use two hands to avoid twisting or straining the cord

  5. Plug in your neon and enjoy the glow!

  6. For neon signs with remotes, insert the CR 2016 button battery into the remote (purchased separately)

💡 Wall Type Matters: If mounting onto tiled, rendered, brick, or other tricky surfaces, we recommend hiring a professional installer.

Acrylic Name Signs & Décor – Care & Installation

Our acrylic signs are durable but can crack or scratch if dropped or handled roughly. Please follow these installation recommendations to protect both your sign and your walls.

✔ We recommend:

  • Using small screws for secure, permanent installation

  • Selecting signage with pre-drilled holes for easy wall mounting

⚠️ Important Hanging Notes:

  • Blu Tack is not a safe or suitable hanging method.
    We strongly advise against using Blu Tack or similar adhesive putties. It does not provide adequate support—even for short-term use—and may cause your sign to fall and break. Damage caused by improper installation is not the responsibility of L A Interiors.

  • 3M Command Strips can be used only on plain, flat walls (no wallpaper, decals, or textured surfaces).
    Please ensure you follow all manufacturer instructions, including weight limits and surface prep. Failure to do so can result in your sign falling and becoming damaged.

  • Do not use any adhesive products (including 3M, hooks, or tapes) over wallpaper or decals.
    These can damage your walls and will not hold securely. To safely display your sign over wallpaper or decals, we offer the option to include small screw holes in your sign design.

🌤 Outdoor Use:

Our acrylic signs are designed for indoor use. If displayed outdoors, please be aware that direct sunlight, extreme heat, or wet weather may cause fading, warping, or wear over time.

Night Lights

Our night lights feature acrylic inserts that are delicate and must be handled with care. They include battery or USB-powered operation for versatility and convenience.

💡 Night Light Setup:

  1. Insert AAA batteries OR connect your night light to a USB power source (as applicable)

  2. Ensure batteries are installed correctly—matching the + and - symbols inside the compartment

  3. Place your night light on a flat, stable surface, well out of reach of little hands

  4. Never pull cords, force parts, or modify the design

  5. Always supervise young children around cords and electrical components

If not in use for long periods, remove batteries to avoid leakage.

Cleaning & Care

Neon Signs & Acrylic Decor

✔ Wipe gently with a clean, dry microfibre cloth
✔ For stubborn marks, use a lightly damp cloth—avoid harsh cleaners
✖ Never use abrasive cloths, chemicals, or glass cleaners—this may scratch or damage the acrylic surface

Night Lights

✔ Clean gently with a microfibre cloth and methylated spirits only
✔ Avoid harsh chemicals, cleaning sprays, or abrasive materials
✔ Handle acrylic inserts carefully to avoid scratches or cracks

Once your night light is set up, we recommend keeping handling to a minimum.
Clear acrylic marks and scratches easily, especially with frequent movement or touching. For best results, position your night light where you want it, clean gently as needed, and avoid relocating or adjusting it unnecessarily.

Troubleshooting

Neon Not Lighting Up?

  • Check all cord connections and power sources

  • Ensure your power outlet is working

  • If your neon includes a remote, check the button battery is installed correctly

  • If issues persist, unplug your neon and contact us for assistance

Acrylic Decor Arrived Scratched or Cracked?

  • Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us straight away if damaged during transit

  • Damage caused during installation is not covered under warranty

Night Light Not Working?

  • Check battery placement or USB connections

  • Replace old batteries with fresh ones

  • Try a different USB port or adapter

  • If still not working, contact us for assistance
